Squash stars in Bermuda exhibition

Four of the world’s top squash players will be showcasing their skills at the Devonshire courts next week as an aside to the AXIS Challenge.Former world number one John White from Australia will join countryman Dan Jensen who has been ranked number five in the world, American Amanda Sobhy, women’s world number 17 and Kasey Brown from Australia, who is currently ranked 10.They’ll take part in an exhibition on Saturday, June 16, following team play in the Challenge which features 24 teams of three.They begin that competition on Wednesday, finishing up on Saturday which will also see the AXIS Kids Pro Clinic when the juniors will be given some tips from the visiting pros.White is a former British Champion, who won 13 PSA World Tour titles and was once considered the hardest hitter in the game, his ball clocking at 172mph.Jensen has won nine PSA World Tour titles and is a Commonwealth Games bronze medallist.Sobhy has five WSA World Tour titles three of them before she turned 17 years old. She’s the only player to boast that record and was the youngest player ever to be ranked in the top 20.Brown has 11 world titles to her credit and has won one gold and two bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games.Admission to the exhibition is free.
