Friday (September 25)

Vernon Temple AME Church will host a special birthday celebration and gospel concert in honour of Rose Anne Richards at Heritage Worship Church. The event will include performances by all Vernon Temple AME choirs and praise dancers. Part proceeds will go towards the Save our Sons programme and the Vernon Temple Church Garment Fund. Tickets, $15 to $35 for adults, are available at Music Box, Jamaican Grill and Vernon Temple Church. Children age 16 and under are free.

Next Saturday (September 26)

Allen Temple AME Church will host a women’s testimonial breakfast at Allen Temple Youth Centre at 8am. The cost is $20.

The Salvation Army will host a car/boot sale at Tiger Bay in St George’s from 10am until 2pm.

Next Sunday (September 27)

Allen Temple AME Church will have its Women’s Day services at 8am, 11am and 4pm. The guest minister is Marlene Carson, founder of Rahab’s Hideaway Columbus, Ohio.

Friday, October 2

Faith Deliverance Centre presents The Helper, a play featuring Bermuda Idol winner Samantha Smith, Jermaine Jeffers, Dominic Lambe, Azre Smith and Jaden-Alex Walrond. The performances on October 2 and 3 will take place at Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts at 7pm. Tickets are $25, or $40 for patrons. For more information call 295-1762.
