Thundercats and Flyboys will face each other in the Summer Island Basketball League finals at Somersfield Academy tonight after defeating International Ballers and Twisters respectively in the semi-finals.

In the first match, Thundercats scored in the first three seconds, but International Ballers were quick to respond and the teams were tied 21-21 with eight minutes left in the first half.

Thundercats were able to cut off passes from International Ballers and by the end of the first half, they led 52-40.

Scoring all his baskets in the first half Kieron Burgess was the leading scorer for Thundercats with 18 points. Dean Jones, though, put up 25 points for International Ballers but it was not enough for his team to win as Thundercats ran out 97-71 winners.

In the second game, Flyboys were in the lead 36-32 by half-time. At the end of the heated match, Flyboys defeated Twisters 67-62. Dion Easton, had 22 points for Flyboys while Seaward Smith and Alex Butterfield both had 13 points for Twisters.
