Butterfield to offer services at Rosebank
Butterfield is to temporarily reopen its Rosebank Centre on Bermudiana Road for banking services.
The bank had closed down the centre last September. But today Butterfield said that starting next Monday, teller service would be available at the location from 9am to 1pm daily, Monday through Friday.
The bank will reserve two hours, from 9am to 11am, to serve seniors exclusively at that location. Rosebank services will include deposit taking, withdrawals, cheque cashing, account transfers and credit card payments.
“Opening a temporary, second banking centre location in Hamilton will allow Butterfield to continue to provide essential banking services to the public, whilst reducing the number of people at each location to enhance protective, social distancing measures during the Covid-19 period,” the bank said in a statement yesterday.
Butterfield added: “Providing services exclusively for seniors from 9am to 11am at Rosebank allows Butterfield to serve older customers, who may be more vulnerable to Covid-19, in a less busy environment.”
Customers under the age of 65 who wish to conduct banking transactions in person may visit Butterfield’s permanent banking centre locations: St George, Somerset, or Reid Street, Hamilton, between 9am and 1pm, Monday through Friday, or the Rosebank location between 11am and 1pm.
Wherever possible, customers are encouraged to conduct all banking transactions using Butterfield Online, the Butterfield mobile banking app, or ATMs at this time. The Bank, however, recognises that a large portion of seniors in the community are not equipped for or comfortable with the use of electronic banking channels.
Saturday banking services at the Reid Street branch have been suspended until further notice.
