Fire crews called to vehicle fires in church car park

Firefighters battled two vehicle blazes in Pembroke this morning.

A Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said that crews were called to the car park of the Evening Light Pentecostal Church on Parson’s Road shortly before 2.20am.

He added: “BFRS responded with one appliance from Hamilton station and a total of four firefighters.

“On arrival fire crews saw two vehicles completely involved in flames.

“The flames were quickly extinguished by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.”

A fire investigator is working to determine the cause of the fires.
