A birthday campaign to raise funds to help preserve and protect the island’s environment has nearly hit its $25,000 target.

More than 60 individuals have donated funds to Stuart Hayward’s fundraising drive and raised a total of $23,299.

The campaign, which has been organised by the Bermuda Environmental Sustainability Taskforce, is due to end on June 10. “It is both humbling and satisfying to experience so much support for the work we have done through BEST for our cherished island, Bermuda, during my birthday celebration,” said Mr Hayward.
