Community gardeners graduate

Minister of Public Works Colonel-Lieutenant David Burch congratulates the graduates of the Grow, Eat, Save gardening workshop.

The latest crop of graduates of a gardening workshop have been awarded certificates.

A total of 30 people took part in the latest Grow, Eat Save community gardening course, designed to teach people how to grow their own food while saving money on their grocery bills.

A spokeswoman for the programme said: “Benefits of the successful workshop include fostering teamwork and volunteerism, engendering a sense of community and helping towards building a healthier, more sustainable Bermuda.”

the Grow, Eat, Save workshops are a joint effort by the Ministry of Health and the Department of Parks and led by Mellonie Furbert and Cymone Hollis.
