A charity cruise for a cancer charity is to set sail on Sunday.

VaVa Entertainment has organised the Pink Party Cruise to benefit cancer charity Pals.

The event was created in honour of Reneé M Carter, a cancer charity founder, and Eddie Minors, who both died of cancer.

Selena Fields Lambert of VaVa Entertainment said: “The Pink Party Cruise is in honour of two of my dearest friends, Reneé and Eddie.

“Reneé held an annual soireé to benefit Pals for 10 years when she was alive so my Pink Party Cruise is to honour her legacy of giving to help those who are surviving cancer and honour the ones whom we have lost to cancer.

“Eddie Minors was a lovely man of Bermuda’s soil. I only really got to know him a couple of years before he died. He was just so loved and admired by all who knew him.”

The New Unit band will perform on board and soul singer Sheila Smith will direct the Freedom Singers.

Jesse Seymour, a former Bermuda Idol, will also be on stage and Laree Talbot will play steel pan drums.

Melodye Micere Van Putten will give a poetry reading and there will be other surprise guest artists.

The event will also feature door prizes and raffles.

The cruise will run from 4pm to 8pm aboard the MV Elizabeth.

Tickets cost $75 each and the boat will depart from the Flagpole on Front Street, Hamilton.

Temperatures will be taken and masks must be worn.
