Chamber event looks at life insurance

Damir Armstrong

Two agents from Freisenbruch-Meyer Life will present an information session about life insurance at a Bermuda Chamber of Commerce lunch and learn event next week.

Damir Armstrong and Jessica Maiato will explore the benefits of life insurance versus the costs, how to protect your business interests, real estate and mortgages, if age plays a factor in insurance, and building a legacy and ensuring protection.

Mr Armstrong, a graduate of St John’s University in New York, meets with individuals, families and companies to assist with their financial planning, the Chamber said. It added that he believes that life insurance is widely misunderstood, which is why he takes pride in helping clients identify the risks posed to their loved ones if they were to suffer an untimely death.

Ms Maiato has an associate’s degree in business administration from Bermuda College, and is close to completing a bachelor’s degree in business management from Nova Scotia’s Mount Saint Vincent University.

The Chamber said her vision as a Bermudian woman is to educate the uninsured and the underinsured on the benefits of protecting and building a legacy for their loved ones.

The session in the Chamber’s boardroom will be held on Tuesday from noon until 2pm. It is open to Chamber members and non-members. Tickets are $25 for members, $35 for non-members, and can be purchased in advance from the Chamber.
