Conference looks at the power of women

Organiser Roxanne Haynes said the Women of Excellence Conference will attempt to bring out the excellent spirit which lie in women.
"It will be an opportunity to challenge and motivate women,'' she said. "I hope we'll reach folks and motivate them to climb higher.
"Somewhere within us there is an excellent spirit but we have to be connected to that spirit to bring it out.'' Mrs. Haynes said men could also take part in the conference. "Men are welcomed,'' she said. "Dr. Charles Dixon will be sharing with the men. He is originally from Ghana, but now lives in Texas.'' In addition to Dr. Dixon, the conference will feature Sheryl Brady from Dallas, Texas, Audrey Singleterry from New York, Dr. Loretta Taylor from Edison, New Jersey and Vernon Chapel from Bakers Field, California.
The conference will run from May 9 to 11 at the Sonesta Beach Hotel.
Registration, which includes meals, conference materials is $175.
Mrs. Haynes added that there will also be a special Mother's Day Prayer Breakfast featuring a dual sermon by Rev. and Mrs. Christopher Haynes. The $35 tickets for the breakfast can be obtained when individuals call to register for the conference.
