Father kicked in back by youth
one of a group of teenagers after he had approached them over an indecent comment made to his daughter.
The 42-year-old Hamilton Parish man went across to the gang at about 10 p.m.
on Friday in Queen Street, St. George's.
He told Police he had approached them because he had heard one of the boys say something obscene to his daughter.
But as he turned to walk away, he was kicked in the back, causing him to fall to the ground. A 16-year-old St. George's youth was arrested and questioned.
A handbag snatcher was on the loose in Pembroke with two incidents within half an hour of each other late on Friday night.
In the first incident a couple were walking with friends on Pitts Bay Road near the ACE construction site when the suspect tried to grab a handbag before riding off.
He was later spotted by the group and escaped after a scuffle.
Then at around 11 p.m. a woman was attacked on Point Pleasant Road as she walked back to her car.
The attacker is described as dark-brown skinned, about five foot, eight inches tall, slim and wearing a hooded jacket and blue jeans.
Police are also hunting a hit and run driver after a pedestrian was put in hospital after being clattered from behind by a white jeep on Sunday morning.
The victim was at the North Shore Road and Northcote Road junction at 5 a.m.
The jeep was white with tinted windows and was heading east.
