Stag Rocks, between Spanish Point and Dockyard.

No passengers were aboard when the heavy wooden vessel grounded about 5:30 p.m.

The ferry, which is operated by the Dockyard Transportation Company, did not appear to sustain much damage but remained stranded overnight. It was expected to be refloated on the early morning tide.
