The Department of Health’s child health mascot, Bermy Germy, took to the streets today with staff to dance walk around Hamilton to promote vaccinations.

While Bermuda had a successful mass immunisation programme in the fight to reduce the transmission and severity of Covid-19, Kim Wilson, the health minister, said there is some evidence of lack of confidence in the importance of vaccinations.

Vaccination Week was aimed at reinforcing the value of immunisation and how successful it has been in reducing infectious disease.

Events are scheduled to continue through the rest of the week.
