Shae?Vonne Simmons graduated from Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, North Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with Holistic Strategies for the exceptional learner with a concentration in Special Education and Psychology, on May 7, 2005.

While attending Bennett college, she was involved in many activities, which included being a Student Teacher in the Guilford County School System for children with moderate to severe disabilities; a Tutor/Mentor at Brown Recreational Centre; and a Publicist for Students of North Carolina Association for Educators.

She attended Elliott Primary, Whitney Institute, CedarBridge Academy and the Bermuda College.

Attending the graduation were relatives and friends from Bermuda and overseas, including her parents, Howard and Beverly Paynter, sister Shuntelle Paynter, grandmother Velma Simmons, uncle and aunts: Perry Simmons; Jill Burt (Godmother), Erica Kelly, Susan Paynter and Paulette Woodley; cousins Jameka Kelly, Michelle Perinchief and Thomas Smith; friends Sabrina Richardson, Caron Stevens, Charla Douglas, Crystal-Lyn Robinson, Shinee Simons, and Shontelle Brangman, Water Welch, Aundwele White and Deon Cann. Of the US: Mia Alston and Dean Forbes.

Mr. and Mrs. Armando Luis Cardoso of Smith?s Parish have the honour of announcing the engagement of their son, Ricardo Luis Cardoso to Christine Agnes Ava Murer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willy Murer of Markham, Ontario.

Ricardo proposed to Christine while vacationing in Bermuda on August 20, 2005. A Bermuda wedding will take place in September 2006.
