KPMG expands local tax practice with new directors

KPMG in Bermuda has added tax directors Robin Linklater and Saravanan Balasubramani.

The firm said as international tax provisions continue to evolve, they recognise the need to meet the growing demands of clients.

A statement said: “Robin Linklater joins our tax team with 24 years of public accounting experience, managing US tax compliance, tax provision and tax-consulting engagements across a wide range of industries.

“Saravanan Balasubramani joins the tax team with 18 years of experience serving the asset management industry, both as a member of Big Four client service teams and in an internal tax role with a US-based asset manager.

”Saravanan specialises in managing US tax compliance and consulting engagements for private equity and fund-of-funds clients.

“Robin and Saravanan join Will McCallum (head of tax), Tom Neill (director) and Sarah Robey (director) in leading our multidisciplinary regional tax team, focused on serving the complex tax needs of the Bermuda-based financial services industry.

Mr McCallum stated: “I am thrilled to welcome Robin and Saravanan to the tax team in Bermuda.

“They elevate the bench strength of our team and I’m excited about our collective capabilities and what we can bring to our clients.

“Tax is undergoing rapid transformation and having leadership with strong experience and depth of industry knowledge is a key part of our future success.
