There was no trading on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, which was unchanged at 1,936.54.

On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield Bank shares improved by 68 cents, or 2.22 per cent, to close at $31.37.

The BSX Insurance Index was down 6.21 points, or 0.34 per cent, at 1,838.45.
