Top chefs talk of their careers at forum
Three top chefs will be discussing their work and their careers in the first session of a Spring Lecture series later this month.
Marcus Samuelsson, celebrity chef, author and restaurateur will join executive chefs Dennis McIntosh of the Moon Palace Jamaica Grande and Keith DeShields at the Cambridge Beach Resort & Spa.
The three chefs were all born and raised in different areas of the world. They will share their culinary skills based on their cultural backgrounds and culinary philosophies, explained a statement from Bermuda College where the series will take part.
“In a three-part presentation, each chef will discuss his career path, interesting learning experiences, role models and favourite cooking dishes,” added the statement. “Each chef has also agreed to share something about themselves that people may not be aware of. In part two, the chefs will describe current culinary trends and predict changes for the industry in the next decade. The third segment of the evening will be devoted to a lively, interactive Q and A exchange with the audience, moderated by Bermuda College culinary chef and presenter of the popular Live, Love, Eat cooking show, Teneika Eve.”
The forum will be held on Thursday, March 16 at 6pm in the North Hall Lecture Theatre. Admission is free and open to the public.
Samples by the chefs and book signings by Chef Samuelsson will also be featured.
