Top score for Truran and Roseland
Bermuda held its leg of the Caribbean Equestrian Association Dressage Challenge last weekend after delaying it for a day because of the rain.
Christian Truran riding Roseland had the highest overall children’s score while Angela Halloran-Smith on Finnominal AV had the highest adult score.
In the children’s team competition, Truran had a score of 69.773 at the training level, while Casey Truran on De Le Vega (66.824) and Robin Stempel on Happy Feet (69.765) contributed to a total children’s team score of 206.362.
On the adult team, Halloran-Smith had a score of 69.379 while Suzette Sailsman on Wiriana and Dawn Fox riding Landtango had scores of 65.368 and 66.289 for a team score of 201.036.
The best presented horse/pony was Happy Feet ridden by Robin Stempel.
Bermuda is the first county to compete this year. The other countries still to take part are Cayman Islands, Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados. Judge Sarah Geikie, from the United States, will travel to each country.
Bermuda’s scores will be pitted against the rest of the competing countries, with the competition ending when the final country competes in June.
