Bermuda Press shares surge 26.8%

Shares of Bermuda Press (Holdings) today surged 26.8 per cent on light volume in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The company, which owns The Royal Gazette and which yesterday announced a $1.26 million profit for the year ended September 30, 2016, jumped $1.90 to $9, as 1,000 shares changed hands.
The Bank of Butterfield remained at $32 after 200 shares moved. On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank fell 76 cents, or 2.34 per cent, to $31.65, as its secondary offering was priced at $31.75 per share.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 2.47 points, or 0.13 per cent, at 1,958.57.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 8.19 points, or 0.44 per cent, at 1,873.79.
