The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged at 1,988.17 after a day of no trading.

On the New York Stock Exchange, Bank of Butterfield shares were down 53 cents, or 1.59 per cent, at $32.74.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 16.61 points, or 0.91 per cent, at 1,850.84.
