Sudden death victim named
Police have named the man who died suddenly yesterday afternoon as 34-year-old Rashun Trott.
This evening Progressive Labour Party MP Michael Weeks paid tribute to Mr Trott.
“As the MP for constituency 16, Pembroke East Central, I was deeply saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Mr Rashun Trott,” he said.
“Rashun was a personable young man and well respected in the community.
“He and his family have always been supporters of the Progressive Labour Party and Rashun was very proud to have become a member of the party in August of 2016 and we were honoured to have him.
“The community has experienced a great loss. On behalf of my wife, family and the Progressive Labour Party, I extend heartfelt condolences to Rashun’s young son, who he leaves behind, his parents, Roger and Gina Trott and their extended family. May you all find comfort in your memories of Rashun. Peace be with you.”
Mr Trott was discovered in an unresponsive state inside a North Court Road, Pembroke, residence after what is believed to be an industrial accident at around 5.45pm on Tuesday.
A police spokesman said: “Despite life-saving efforts at the scene which continued as he was transported via ambulance to hospital, Ra Shun was pronounced dead at 6.20pm that day.
“Foul play is not suspected. However, an autopsy is anticipated.”
The spokesman also expressed the BPS’s condolences to the friends and family of Mr Trott.
