Bank of Butterfield shares gained 50 cents to $32 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The rise came after 3,831 shares changed hands.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank was also up, by 50 cents to $32.82.

Telecoms firm KeyTech fell 29 cents to $2.51 after 1,833 shares moved.

Utilities group Ascendant rose 15 cents to $7.30, after 1,100 shares sold.

Watlington Waterworks was up 5 cents to $20.30 after 2,022 shares traded.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 20 points, or 1.03 per cent, at 1,957.38.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 2.18 points, or 0.12 per cent, at 1,769.05.
