Theatre scholarships handed out

The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Bermuda has handed out two $5,000 Theatre Arts Scholarships.
Marcus Arjai Yorel Smith and Victoria Sage Watlington were selected by the Society’s Scholarship Committee, chaired by Deborah Smith-Joell.
Marcus, a three-time recipient of the G&S Scholarship, is attending New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in New York, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre.
Victoria, who previously won a G&S Scholarship in 2014, is attending New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting.
The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Bermuda said it looks forward to the pair returning to Bermuda and entertaining them on stage.
