A group of people descended on Hamilton Police Station on Monday to make police complaints stemming from Friday’s protest.

The group, which numbered between 20 and 25, arrived at the police station at about 12.15pm.

They have been told to attend another police building to file the official complaints.

The group was led by Bermuda Industrial Union president Chris Furbert, who told The Royal Gazette: “These people are here to file official complaints about what happened on Friday.”

Mr Furbert did not specify the exact nature of the compaints, but added: “People expect the police to be about law and order. From our point of view their actions and the use of pepper spray was excessive.”
