Woman ordered pizza using Premier's credit card number
A 21-year-old woman used the Premier's credit card number to order pizzas, a court was told yesterday.
Magistrates' Court heard that Kim Dean got hold of the card number from her workplace, the Fairmont Hamilton Princess, where she was a receptionist.
The court heard that Dr. Ewart Brown received his bank statements on April 14 and noticed there were two statements totalling $32.50 not made by him.
Police investigations lead to Dean, who had ordered the pizzas over the phone using Dr. Brown's credit card number.
When she was arrested, Dean, of Kyber Heights Lane, Warwick, told Police she got the card details from her files at work. She admitted she did not have permission to use them.
In court, she said: "I'm sorry, I've never done nothing like this before. I did not know the consequences, it was a stupid act. I shouldn't have signed for something that was not mine.
"I want to apologise to my family and the Premier. I have never been in trouble before and I really have learned my lesson."
Dean told Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner that she did not know who the card owner was, but Mr. Warner said it did not matter who the card belonged to.
He adjourned the case until June 3 for pre-sentence reports.
