Trout Twisters enter this year's Bermuda Basketball Association Winter League play-offs as firm favourites to wrest the championship.

After enjoying an undefeated 11-0 season Twisters tonight face eighth seeded Bermuda College (1-10) in the first round.

Twisters are led by the league's top scorer Kit Musller, who averaged just under 23 points during the regular season, helping his side to an average of 89.90 points per outing, best in the league.

However, Musller is not a lone gun, as John Leone (16.57) and Kevin Barrett (18.10) can also fill it up on a moment's notice.

Their defence is not shabby either, allowing just 54.40 points a game, giving them a stunning average margin of victory of 35.50.

Conversely, Bermuda College ranked seventh out of eight teams on offence (41.25 ppg) as well as defence (72.67 ppg) and appear to have but a prayer of upsetting the high riding Twisters.

Still, upsets are what bring the play-offs to life and the College will certainly be hoping for a miracle.

Tonight's other fixture features Fenton's Drive against The Zone in a two versus seven seed affair.

Drive are guided by the scoring prowess of Lou Matthews (16.40) and Travis Caines (15.00), while the league's second leading scorer Alan Bean (22.42) stands as the lone gem in an otherwise dreary Zone outfit.

Meanwhile, tomorrow has Dream Team taking on Kempe and Whittle, while Bank of Bermuda test their mettle against Young Gunns.
