Man arrested after car hits tree
A man and woman were injured after their car crashed into a tree in Reid Street, Hamilton.
The driver, a 30-year-old man from Pembroke, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving following the incident near the junction with Court Street, at about 11.30pm on Sunday.
Yesterday, he was receiving treatment at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The passenger, a 22-year-old woman from Pembroke, sustained minor injuries.
