Premier drops in on class
On October 21, Purvis Primary had a career fair in the morning, which consisted of various community workers speaking with the students about their career role.
One of the community workers who came to visit was Michael Dunkley, the Premier.
Mr Dunkley spoke to the students about how he uses mathematics and literacy along with a sound work ethic as leader of our country.
Ms Shannalee Aberdeen, school counsellor of Purvis Primary and Warwick Preschool said: “The children loved him and didn’t want him to leave!”
The other workers who took time out of their busy schedules were: Dr Richard Fulton, paediatrician at Edgewood Paediatric Services; Dr Larry Trott, acupuncturist and owner of Sankofa, Mr Preston James, fitness instructor; Mrs Beza Simons, nurse at KEMH; and the Bermuda Police Department.
