Bank of Butterfield preference shares fell $24.99 to $1,075, on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The drop of 2.3 per cent came after 43 shares traded.

Butterfield’s common shares on the New York Stock Exchange fell by 24 cents, or 0.94 per cent, to $25.26.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged at 1,617.14.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 6.14 points or 0.36 per cent at 1,697.31.
