Woman injured in domestic incident
A 44-year-old Devonshire woman was being treated in hospital yesterday after a domestic incident with her 40-year-old brother.
According to a police spokesman, the brother “apparently” brandished a bladed article and injured his sister at about 1.40pm at a residence on Devon Spring Road, Devonshire.
“Details are limited at this time,” he added. “However, it appears that an altercation occurred between an adult brother and sister. The brother, a 40-year-old Devonshire man, apparently brandished a bladed article and injured his sister, a 44-year-old Devonshire woman.
“She was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of a laceration to her arm, which is not believed to be life threatening.”
The spokesman added that the brother was arrested at the scene and that inquiries into the matter continue.
