Sensory matchup: fine food and perfume
Perfume and fine dining are to combine at a special event at a top Bermuda restaurant.
Isabelle Ramsay-Brackstone, the owner of Lili Bermuda, and master chef Jean-Claude Garzia of Beau Rivage at Paget’s Newstead are to join forces in a first for Bermuda.
Ms Ramsay-Brackstone said: “Chef Garzia’s creative culinary talent is simply amazing.
“Through the years, he has revolutionised Bermudian cuisine, making it unique and sought after by all of us foodies.
“I am honoured to have this opportunity to work with him on this fabulous sensorial experience at Beau Rivage restaurant.”
The event, to be held on Saturday, October 15 at Beau Rivage, will feature six scents by Lili Bermuda with an equal number of dishes prepared by Mr Garzia, with the scents and aromas described for each course.
And Mercier Brut champagne will be served during cocktails and with the dinner.
Mr Garzia said: “At Beau Rivage we are thrilled to join the famous Isabelle Ramsay-Brackstone for a pairing dinner that has never been done before in Bermuda.
“This is a one of a kind event matching the elegance of several flavours from our delectable dishes with different scents from unique Lili Bermuda fragrances.
“My chef’s hat goes to Isabelle for choosing my team and myself and creating such a fabulous experience at Beau Rivage.”
