Tropical Storm Gaston has now been upgraded to a hurricance with sustained winds between 80 and 100 knots.

But it remains no threat to Bermuda.

In the last Bermuda Weather Service forecast at 6.00am today (Sunday), the storm was 540 nautical miles east southeast of the island, travelling at 5 knots.

Its closest approach is predicted to be 491 nautical miles to the east at 3am on Monday.
