Gateway joins forces with FireEye
IT firm Gateway has teamed up with a California-based firm to fight cybercrime.
Gateway has joined forces with FireEye and its subsidiary Mandiant to provide extra protection against hackers.
Eric Buckingham, Gateway senior account manager, said: “By adding FireEye to Gateway’s comprehensive team of security partners ensures we can deal with every aspect of cybersecurity and give our customers what they need to minimise the threat of a cybersecurity breach.
“And when or if it does happen, we can assist in business recovery and deal with the repercussions.”
FireEye has pioneered a virtual machine-based security platform that is said to provide real-time protection against the next generation of cyber threats.
Gateway said new techniques can get past traditional signature-based defences against attack, like next-generation firewalls.
The FireEye threat prevention platform does not use signatures to protect organisations against primary threats and through an attack cycle.
Its core is a virtual execution engine with threat intelligence to identify and block attacks in real time.
FireEye has more than 4,000 customers across 67 countries and clients include companies and governments.
