The area of Rosemont Avenue, between the junction of Richmond Road and Serpentine Road, has been closed for emergency repairs.

Belco have announced that crews will be working into the night to fix the transmission cable problem at the spot in Hamilton.

“Weather depending, it is anticipated that the road will be opened for single-lane traffic in the morning for the remainder of Thursday,” a spokeswoman said.

“Traffic controls are in place. With the exception of residential access, motorists must use alternative routes.”
