Technology students attend networking event
Technology-minded students met industry professionals yesterday during a networking evening at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club.
The event, organised by the Technology Leadership Forum, welcomed more than 75 people — including past and present TLF interns, as well as high school and university students.
“Networking is about building relationships, and you will find that Bermuda’s IT community is pretty close-knit,” education minister Wayne Scott told the attendees.
“Get to know those you meet tonight and research their organisations. Importantly, don’t forget to follow up.”
TLF chairwoman Sandra Desilva added: “We hope that the connections the students have forged with the industry professionals will not only assist them throughout their academic journeys, but offer guidance towards their ultimate career goals.”
