More than 39,430 shares worth $343,139 in HSBC Holdings PLC were traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The HSBC price ended the day 25 cents up (2.94 per cent) at $8.75.

In the domestic market, the Bank of Butterfield saw 27,122 of its shares move, causing its price to fall two cents (1 per cent) at $1.97.

Financial services firm LOM Holdings saw 1,000 shares change hands, with the price up 15 cents (7.1 per cent) at $2.25.

A total of 2,000 shares in insurance firm Argus Group were also sold. The price ended the day up 39 cents (10.8 per cent) at $3.99.

Ascendant Group, parent firm of power company Belco, closed 20 cents up (3.8 per cent) at $5.40 after 10,000 shares changed hands.

Telecommunications company KeyTech was unchanged at $3 after 1,000 shares sold.

And Watlington Waterworks was up 50 cents (2.6 per cent) at $20 after 400 shares moved.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed up 1.95 points (0.14 per cent) at 1,353.05.

The BSX Insurance Index closed up 29.07 points (1.86 per cent) at 1,592.80.
