Tropical Storm Colin — now a post-tropical cyclone — is not a threat to Bermuda, although it is still forecast to pass well to the north of the island.

According to the National Hurricane Centre, the storm was moving away from the East Coast of the United States this evening.

In its 6pm advisory, the Bermuda Weather Service said the weather system was then expected to continue on a northwesterly track, with its closest point of approach to Bermuda expected to be at about 11pm today, passing 395 nautical miles to the northwest of the island.

Strong winds with gale force gusts, along with showers and a chance of thunder, can be expected tonight through tomorrow.
