Be inspired at personal empowerment event

Energy therapy: Karen Simons is offering a two-day workshop to help people better understand their chakras (Photograph supplied)

Discovering the best version of yourself is the aim of an inspirational personal empowerment conference, coming on Saturday in St George’s.

Keema Perry, the deputy principal of St George’s Preparatory School, is hosting “You are the Change You Have Been Waiting For” from 9am until noon at the school.

Topics rang from health and nutrition to fitness and breathing methods — all with the aim of developing a positive mindset and overcoming stress.

Therapist Karen Simons, a specialist in energy medicine, will address the link between mindset and wellbeing, particularly the organs linked to emotional health.

Gayle Evans of Custom Fitness Gym will debunk diet and fitness myths in her talk on “structuring your day around your life”, while Melanie Dupres offers instruction in stress-breaking yoga breathing, and author Gayneté Edwards will speak on the transformative power of positive thinking.

Mrs Perry, founder of the host group Powerhouse Academy, called the conference an invitation to “anyone with an interest in being a better person and creating a better life for themselves and their family”.

Tickets are available at $65 through www.ptix.bm
