Sportsmen's League, thrashing Warwick Whites 24-6 thanks to Dean Lightbourne's

Woody Jones, also with a 224 game, provided support as Juniors got on the team honours list with a top series of 2678 and second high game of 934. Reggie Harvey tried in vain for Warwick Whites with a 569 series.

Mini Forwarders enjoyed a good win, getting by Social Club 191 -101 and also featured prominently on the team honours list.

They had top game of 935 and second high series of 2587. Colbert Pearman led Forwarders with a 234 game, while Social Club rolled an 859 game.

Sparks bowled the third high team series of 2551 on their way to a 19-11 win over Young Blood who had a 2515 series and 871 third high game. Reggie Saunders of Sparks rolled a 569 series and 224 game, while Clem Lespere led Young Blood's efforts with his 245 game and 588 series which were second best on the list.

In the other match Buy and Sell edged Warwick Reds 16-14 in the closest encounter. Miles Smith paced the winners with his 257 top game and 571 third high series.

This week's schedule: Warwick Reds v Social Club; Mini Forwarders v Buy and Sell; Warwick Whites v Sparks; Young Blood v Pembroke Juniors.

JUNIOR GOLF GLF Bermuda Junior Golf Association action last Saturday saw the team of Dwayne Simons, Matthew Durrant, David Smith and Andrew Boyce win the Capain's Choice tournament at Ocean View with a two-under-par 70.

Trailing a close second on one-under were the team of Neil Fenton, Adrian Beasley, Scott and Roy Martin who edged out by retrogression the team of Andrew Trott, Wayne Hill, Jay Butler and Ryan Marshall.

In the novices divison at Southampton Princess, Jarryd Dillas led the way with a score of 36 over nine holes. Second was Ted Graham on 40 and third David Spiering with 42. Play continues this week with groups one, two and three at St. George's and four and five at Castle Harbour.

SOFTBALL SOF Commercial Softball League play on Wednesday saw Bacardi Bats hammer AF Smith Trading 31-1 behind Mike Evans who went 4-for-4 and Roger Cash with a 3-for-4 night. Winning pitcher was Jim Fay and loser Cidelia Correia.

For the losers Charmaine Scott had a 1-for-2 night.

Oasis, meanwhile, hammered Butterfield and Steinhoff 24-9 with Adam Diel going 4-for-4 and Mike Demars 3-for-3 for the losers. Mike McCallum was the winner, Joe Roberts the loser.

PW Wildcats beat Olympia Capital 26-15, thanks to Andy Yonda's 4-for-5 batting effort. Barry Matt went 5-for-6 for Capital while Shawnee Smith went 3-for-5.

Dan Fronchar was the winning pitcher, Graham Strange the loser.

ROAD RUNNING RUN Steve Donnelly recorded a comfortable victory in Wednesday's annual Police Recreation Club mini-marathon, winning the six mile race in 35 minutes, 47 seconds. First female was Georgia Belboda in 42.02.

Second overall was Simon Groves in 37.25 and third Shannon Lawrence (37.54).

Sherry Wade (45.19) was the second female followed by Andrea Browne (48.58).

SOCCER SOC A practice match between North Village's Premier Division team and "The Equalisers'' will be held at Bernard Park on Sunday, starting at 10 a.m.

Interested Alliance Division players are also invited to attend.
