BERMUDIAN Timothy Miller was this week appointed head of Lanier Business Products Centre.

A premier supplier of office equipment on the island, it provides photocopiers, fax machines, printers and a variety of voice dictation products supplied and manufactured by Ricoh Company Ltd., a highly-respected manufacturer of office automation equipment and electronics.

Mr. Miller was named partner and general manager of the company, which has been in operation in Bermuda for more than 20 years.

"I am excited to be joining the team at Lanier," he said yesterday. "Having spent over 20 years in the field of technology, I look forward to the new challenges of managing this well-established local business, where I can use my skills and experience to make a significant contribution to the company's success.

"We will be expanding our range of products and services over the next few months to cater to a wider customer audience. I look forward to working with businesses in Bermuda to meet their ever-increasing office requirements."

Mr. Miller's experience in the technology field spans here and abroad. He began with Cable and Wireless, studying with that company's college towards an engineering degree in telecommunications and electronics. "(He moved) to Quantum Communications, Global Crossing and finally working with TeleBermuda International," a company spokesperson said. "In his new role, Timothy will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business taking over responsibilities from Tony Coleman, who is looking for greater flexibility in his schedule."

Mr. Coleman welcomed Mr. Miller to the company: "With the focus on growing our business, Timothy promises to be an exceptional member of our team.
