Bermuda Properties appoints new directors

The parent company of Tucker's Point Club ? Bermuda Properties Ltd. ? has appointed three new directors: Senator Reginald Burrows, Charles Gosling and Herman Tucker (pictured). At the same time, two longstanding directors, Richard S.L. Pearman and D. Colin Selley, stepped down from the board but were each named as directors emeritus."We are delighted to have three such distinguished Bermudians as Senator Burrows, Mr. Gosling and Mr. Tucker join our board," said company president Edward Trippe. "Each of the appointees brings to the table a level of experience and expertise that will enable the board to continue to make informed decisions as we move into a very exciting period of growth."

Bermuda Properties Ltd. has owned the Castle Harbour Resort since 1958 when the property was purchased from the Bermuda Development Company Ltd. In 2000, the company created the successor entity, Tucker's Point Club, which is in the process of rebuilding the resort as a new mixed-use tourist and residential development. Argus Insurance Company Ltd. is the principal investment partner in the development.

Local advertising agency Advantage Ltd. has hired Sami Lill, an award-winning creative designer from the UK, who has worked at a number of London advertising agencies during the last decade. "Sami's unique mix of skills, experience and knowledge will serve Advantage and our clients in the areas such as strategic planning, conceptual design, and integrated multi-media campaigns," said Advantage president Sheila Semos.

Mr. Lill has reportedly produced commercials, print campaigns, posters, radio spots, annual reports and websites for a range of international brands including for HSBC, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Nestle, and Coca-Cola France. Mr. Lill studied art direction and copywriting at Falmouth College of Arts in England.
