Treat for lovers of jazz and swing
The Bermuda School of Music is hosting a lively evening of jazz and swing that includes a line-up of international musicians.
Organisers promise “an electrifying live sound that combines trumpets, saxophones and trombones with a rhythm section that will be here for your listening and dancing pleasure”.
Some Enchanted Evening, taking place this Saturday, will attract, “music and jazz lovers, swingers, lindy hoppers and jitter bugs,” and will feature international musicians Derrick Gardener, Albert Rivera and Joe Beaty. Local artists include Shine Hayward, Max Maybury, Kent Hayward, Graham Maule and Courtney Fadlin. In total they will make up a 16-piece ensemble.
All funds raised will go towards the school’s bursary programme.
The school’s executive director Kent Hayward said: “Great music entertains and inspires us all.
“We hope that you will join us and celebrate this unique event to raise money for our students.”
Tickets are $100 for patrons, $50 for general admission and $20 for children and are available at the Bermuda School of Music and online at: www.premiertickets.bm
