A medical emergency on board the Celebrity Summit led to the cruise ship arriving ahead of schedule yesterday.

According to a spokesman for the Department of Marine and Ports Services, it was reported that a woman was suffering “cardiac issues”.

Pilot boats brought the cruise ship in to Dockyard at about 6.20pm and the woman was taken to hospital via ambulance.

The Celebrity Summit had been scheduled to arrive this morning at 8am and depart Bermuda on Friday.
