A brush fire has been extinguished in the Happy Valley area of Devonshire.
Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the blaze at 9.30pm.
No one was injured.
Fire Service spokesman Sergeant Jamal Albuoy said that a 20ft by 20ft area of trees and horticultural waste was affected.
“BFRS responded to the incident with appliances from our Hamilton Station and our Port Royal Station,” he added. “Each appliance was manned with four personnel.”
Firefighters dressed in breathing apparatus manned with a hose line had put out the blaze and wet down the area to secure the scene.
An investigation is under way.
