Bermuda’s Brazilian Football School has joined with Coerver Coaching Ontario, Like Sports and Bermuda Sports Management Group to bring the Bermuda Triangle Cup to the island in July.

The three against three, 20 minute games will be qualifiers for the Disney 3x3 Soccer Championships featuring an open and invitational division.

This tournament, to be played at North Field, the National Sports Centre, will range from eight to 16 years, male and female, and there will also be an adult or corporate section.

The event will take place from July 15 to 17, with a 3x3 introduction camp being held from July 11 to 14.

“They will all be outfield players, no goalkeepers, it’s about skill development so nobody will be in goal,” Cal Blankendal, of BBFS, said. “It’s an attacking type format.

“It’s popular in the United States, tournaments all over with the finals at Disney World. The Coerver Coaching Ontario group were the first to have it outside the United States and now we’re the second outside the US to be officially awarded a qualifier for Disney.”
