Great work, Rosa’s and Chopsticks!
Dear Sir,
I was very surprised that Rosa’s Cantina and Chopsticks are giving back to the community in such a special way. I was there for dinner on Monday, March 20 and was pleased to find out that my two children’s meals were complimentary.
The manager came over and informed my husband and I that since our daughters are under 12, they are able to eat free on Mondays. She went on to explain that with every paying adult, a child under 12 eats free and has a free soda or juice. I asked her what made the company do this and she said the company believes that giving back is so important in these difficult times. Every dollar counts and people will love to save a little bit of money.
While I was talking to the manager she said that the restaurants have adopted a school at each restaurant and they give a parent and child a free meal.
I was intrigued about this and asked her to explain it to me how she picked the child. She said she didn’t; she allowed the schools to pick the child and parent.
I thought that a free meal was awesome until she told me that the parent and child who were selected came every Monday for that whole month.
My family enjoyed their meal at Rosa’s Cantina and will be going to Chopsticks in the next few weeks. I believe that this should get out to the public so they can take up this generous offer that this company has put out there. I believe that a story should be written about the wonderful things happening there.
Reading about Ms Simmons in The Royal Gazette had me thinking that what they do on Mondays is newsworthy and people should support a place that supports Bermuda. I feel that you should reach out and contact them.
Keep up the good work, Rosa’s and Chopsticks.
CARMEN SMITH
