KFC stays open for now ? but it will close for finishing touches to overhaul

KENTUCKY Fried Chicken remains open for business, despite confusion stemming from construction now under way in the restaurant's seating area.

The Queen Street, Hamilton eatery's general manager Frank Seuss yesterday advised customers that, while part of the seating area is closed for refurbishment, the restaurant is open as usual.

"Some confusion has arisen amongst our valued customers since we announced that part of the restaurant would be closing for refurbishment," Mr. Seuss said.

"It seems that many of our regular diners are under the false impression that the entire restaurant is closed, and this is not the case. We are open for business and ready to serve."

The restaurant is expected to close on April 26 but hopes to reopen on May 3.

"We hope to wrap up renovations on the entire restaurant during that week," Mr. Seuss added. "But obviously, things do happen during renovation work that may cause a minor delay in reopening. However, our plan at this point is for the entire restaurant to be only closed during that period.

"When we reopen, diners can expect a fantastic new dining atmosphere and the same great Kentucky Fried Chicken menu they have grown to love. In the meantime, we apologise for any inconvenience this work has caused our valued customers."
