BFA moves fixtures to cater for international
Three matches in the final round of Premier Division fixtures have been brought forward from March 27 so as not to clash with Bermuda’s Caribbean Cup fixture with French Guiana the night before.
The matches switched involve the teams with players in the Bermuda squad as the fixtures between Southampton Rangers and Hamilton Parish and Devonshire Cougars and Boulevard have not been switched and will go ahead at Southampton Oval and Devonshire Rec the day after the international.
The three other matches have been rescheduled for next week, with Devonshire Colts playing league leaders Dandy Town next Tuesday at Devonshire Rec. Town recently had seven players in the Bermuda team that travelled to St Kitts for two friendly matches.
Two other matches rescheduled for next week will be PHC versus Somerset at Somerset on Wednesday and Robin Hood against North Village next Thursday at Goose Gosling Field. The Premier Division fixtures scheduled for March 19 and 20 have been rescheduled for April 3.
Meanwhile, the draw for the semi-finals of the FA Cup will be held tomorrow at the Clyde Best Centre of Excellence at 11.45am. The matches will be played as a double-header at nearby Police Field on April 10, the week before the season-ending FA Cup final on April 17.
Devonshire Cougars, Robin Hood, PHC and holders Dandy Town are the four teams in the semi-final draw.
The fifth annual Women’s Futsal League starts on Saturday at the Bermuda College gym with two matches scheduled, Somerset taking on Young Men’s Social Club at 5pm and PHC playing Dandy Stars at 6.00.
