Blu reopens with a new look
Restaurant Blu has reopened after a major revamp and expansion.
The new-look Blu, at the Belmont Hills golf course, closed in January as part of a $1.5 million renovation of the Warwick site and reopened last night.
Costanzo Di Meglio, a partner in the Dining Bermuda chain and general manager of Blu, said: “We were very busy and it went very well.”
The restaurant has redone its interior and taken over the former golf pro’s shop to create a private dining room.
The restaurant has also revamped its Soho bar and introduced a new menu and created a larger patio area.
Mr Di Meglio said: “A lot of people were waiting for us to reopen. You have to see it to really appreciate what we’ve done.”
Soho bar now also offers smaller portions selected from the main menu as casual eating.
Mr Di Meglio said: “A lot of people don’t want to sit down and have a full meal. Some of the small courses are taken from our dinner menu. We’ve taken the most successful and we will change them every week.”
The bar and restaurant now offers a sushi selection. Mr Di Meglio said: “We’re doing something which we hope is a little bit different from the conventional sushi.”
