Police this afternoon broke up a fight involving a large group of students in Devonshire.

According to a police spokesman, at around 3.50pm officers responded to a report of a fight near the Dock Hill/ Palmetto Road roundabout.

“The fight involved combatants using helmets, sticks and rocks,” the spokesman said. “Upon police arrival the students dispersed and the identity of those involved are unknown at this point.”

Police have called on witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at 295-0011.
